Holiday home description

The Nest is situated in one of Christchurchs most loved hill suburbs, nestled in a garden of native bush with views from the living areas of our Estuary, Sea and Mountains beyond The Nest is a fully self-contained 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home. All you need to bring are clothes and food; everything else is there including all linen and basic food items. Children are welcome and we have a cot and a highchair available for you We are very close (all within 10 minutes drive) to Christchurchs best beaches with excellent cafes and restaurants, Lyttelton Harbour, Tamaki Heritage Village, a golf driving range, and a nine hole golf course, the Gondola and hillside walks with breathtaking views to the Southern Alps. The Nest has TV, stereo, DVD , BBQ and Internet access including wireless The neighbourhood is tranquil and secure All this and only 15 minutes drive from central Christchurch or 2 minutes walk from a bus stop We have easy access garage parking for two cars. The Nest is built on three levels with extensive decking for maximum enjoyment of its hillside setting There is a lot of inside and outside living space for total relaxation. There is a small library of NZ books for your reading enjoyment. We invite you to view our guest book, to see what some of our many guests have been kind enough to say about the Nest The Nest has a wood fire place for cosiness as well as a heat pump Extensive use of natural timber adds to the ambience of this home. Arrival guide & Destination info

Ask one of the friendly locals for directions to Ferry Road, then please follow Ferry Road east towards Sumner (not Lyttelton). You will soon get to the suburbs of Woolston and then Ferrymead. Follow the road straight through an unusual intersection with traffic lights using the left lane and very quickly you will be on a four-lane bridge over the Heathcote River. Follow the road (now Main Road) around, as it veers left; you will have the water of the Estuary on your left Shortly you will come to McCormacks Bay Road on your right, which you need to turn into. Then turn right into Soleares Avenue, which goes up the hill until you get to Toledo Place on the right. Please come to number 15 (proceed past the letterboxes and park opposite No 15) and we will take you over to the Nest at number 24, and make you feel really welcome.
